Chemical – like Alcohol and Cocaine

There is a chemical that is only one molecule off from alcohol and one chemical (it is missing nitrogen) off from cocaine.

This chemical substance causes the user to feel safe, secure and invincible. It heightens the senses and causes brain function abnormalities.

Withdrawal Symptoms if you are a Sugar Addict
The withdrawal symptoms can include anxiety, depression, a harsh craving for another shot, low or absent energy levels, headaches, flu-like symptoms, harsh mood swings, and even skin rashes. It’s addictive properties are comparable to heroin. This drug is extremely dangerous to your health and the health of others.

Would you take this substance or let your kids take it? Most likely you do. I have just described refined sugar.

Sugar, Sugar Everywhere!

Today’s world is inundated with sugar. Most quick foods that fit into our hectic lifestyles have sugars. Simple sugars, refined sugars, hidden sugars, and even sugars that don’t look like sugars. Enough of the sweet stuff! Our ancestors didn’t have processed foods and they didn’t have a lot of health problems that plague today’s society. Sugar addiction is real and sugar addiction is dangerous. It is time to get back to eating healthy, natural foods.  Recommended — Craving Secrets

Two Types of Sugar – Complex and Refined (Simple)

There are two types of sugar – complex and refined. Complex sugars are made up of three or more sugar molecules linked together. They take more energy for the body to break down. Complex sugar is found in whole grain products, oatmeal, brown rice and root vegetables. These sugars are good for you in moderation.

Simple sugars mostly contain refined sugar which is not a food at all. Refined sugar is a manufactured chemical added to foods. Natural simple sugars like honey and fruits, can be eaten in moderation with no adverse effects, but refined sugar is made by taking a natural food, chemically processing it, then boiling it, which destroys all vitamins and nutrients. As many as 64 vitamins and other nutrients are destroyed in this process. All liquid is removed through evaporation and a centrifuge machine, then the crystals are bleached white with animal bones such as pork or beef.

Simple Sugar in Vitamins, Toothpaste, Lip Gloss, Lickable Stamps, Laxatives, Cough Medicines

Many times manufacturers and food companies will add refined sugar to improve the taste of the item. Some foods that you wouldn’t think have sugar may surprise you; pancake mixes, meats, hamburger and hot dog buns, salads, some salt, etc. And food isn’t the only place where sugar can be found. Believe it or not, other everyday items have hidden sugar. Vitamins, toothpaste, lip gloss, lickable stamps and envelopes, laxatives, cough medicines, etc all have refined sugars. It is no wonder we have an addiction to sugar.

Sugar addiction can be overcome. The best way to kick a sugar habit is to begin eating foods that can reduce the cravings – and stop eating the foods that increase your dependence on sugar. Diet is even more important than other lifestyle changes when it comes to beating sugar addiction will make it easier to succeed.

Stevia Health Benefits

Stevia Plant Health Benefits

Many people are asking me more about Stevia.

Listen to Diana Walker’s Podcast on Health Benefits of Stevia

Stevia Health Benefits

Stevia comes from a plant – the Stevia plant is natural and the leaves are very sweet.  Stevia health benefits have been documented for centuries.

Truvia, Coca Cola, Pepsi

Truvia – artificial, white powder

Truvia – you can tell it is a chemical – because you can’t “patent” a plant, and yet the companies are using a patent because the huge companies are adulterating the original Stevia plant made by nature.

Huge companies — Coke, Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola – all are trying to profit from the Stevia plant.  Do you think they have your highest good in mind?

They are, as usual, interested in money and profit.  They are not using a natural product because they think it is better for you and your family.  They are just “jumping on the bandwagon” because we are all concerned about nutrition now.

You can do a Search on Truvia.  This is a WHITE POWDER.  Does that look anything like a green plant?  I personally would not use this.

Sunrider Stevia

The liquid Sunrider Stevia is what I have used for 12 years now and I love it.

It does not have a bitter aftertaste.  Sunrider Stevia still has the wonderful healthy benefits of the original stevia plant, because Dr. Chen, the founder of Sunrider, is a Master Herbalist and takes great care in keeping the juices close to nature.  Dr. Tei Fu Chen preserves the natural structure found in its whole food form.
Just like when you juice a carrot, you will get the powerful nutrition that is in the carrot.

Now, the liquid stevias that are available in the Health Food store may be closer to nature than the Truvia is.  However, they often have a bitter aftertaste.  The great thing is that the stevia does not elevate blood sugar levels and is virtually zero calories.  It is definitely far superior to sugar and to deadly artificial sweeteners.

Stevia Equivalents to Sugar

You really have to experiment to see how much Stevia tastes fine for you.

Generally it can be assumed that 2 to 3 drops of liquid Stevia will equal 1 teaspoon of sugar.

Wishing you a Sweet Stevia day!
