Are You Addicted To Caffeine? – Show #15

I need to start getting more sleepOne of the most socially accepted drugs in our society is caffeine. It can be found in soda drinks, coffee, tea, energy drinks, and chocolate and many people use these caffeinated beverages as a way to wake up in the morning and to survive their day.

This week I’m talking about the dangers of caffeine. Even if you have 1-2 caffeinated drinks each day, that seemingly small amount is still causing problems in your body. That’s why in my earlier podcasts I encouraged you to cut back on the amount of soda and coffee that you drink.

Listen in as I discuss in detail the caffeine withdrawal symptoms, how to know if you suffer from caffeine intoxication, how to know if you are addicted to caffeine, and what contributes to caffeine sensitivity.

If you have any questions or concerns about this topic, feel free to leave a comment below and I will respond promptly! It’s difficult making these life changes but having someone to cheer you on often makes these changes easier :)

Health Risks of Coffee and Caffeine – Show #14

MochaccinoSo many of us depend on our morning coffee for that jolt of caffeine to get our day going. And have you noticed how many specialty coffee shops pop up in our neighborhoods?

But what, exactly, are those jolts of caffeine doing to our bodies?

This week’s guest is Carrie Lauth of Natural Moms Talk Radio and she tells us about her own personal story of how and why she gave up her daily coffee habit. More importantly, she shares some surprising benefits of giving up the caffeine.

Even if you don’t think you’re addicted to coffee or the caffeinated cola drinks, take some time to reflect if even just a little bit of caffeine is doing any good to your body or to your mental well being.

Think about the health risks of coffee and caffeine.  Simply starting slow by cutting out 1 cup of coffee or soda a day will give you noticeable health benefits.
