Lunch - Healthy Food - craving vegetables

Wouldn’t it be different if we said to our children:

“If you finish your ice cream, you can have some vegetables”..!

Most of us have grown up with the “reward” or “treat” of getting a sweet dessert if we finish our vegetables.

I’d love to see a world where we crave vegetables and healthy food and where they are looked on as a “reward” or “treat”!

Today at lunch I was literally craving cucumbers.  I took a long English organic cucumber, sliced up 2/3 of it, placed it in a beautiful arrangement on my plate.  Then I sliced up an organic tomatoe, then added a slice of organic coarse rye bread, and a large bowl of split pea soup.

Oh, the vegetarian split pea soup recipe contains: celery, onion, carrots, organic green peas, fresh dill, parsley, bay leaf, organic garlic, chili flakes, turmeric, sea salt, pepper. 

How’s that for a delicious lunch?  And I definitely do not crave life-robbing dead non-foods!
