Thanks, Dr. Okouchi, for your great advice. I had hear that colors like red would make people purchase more, but I didn't understand the full extent of it.

I didn't know that red and orange and yellow actually over-ride our own inborn intuition so we don't know when we are really full (satiated), and make us want to eat more.

I have red (well, they are maroon-colored) dishes at home - maybe I better get new ones in a violet tone. But my dining area is peaceful, so I guess I'm okay!

How interesting - thanks for sharing!

There's an interesting relationship between the colors fast food restaurants use and digestion. If you notice, fast food establishments use the colors "RED, ORANGE and YELLOW." These colors stimulate your digestive system and trigger various portions of your brain related to satiety. These colors can actually override your satiety sensation because its stimulating digestion. Watch out for those advertisements. You can offset that neurological response by looking at something either purple or violet. Carry around some purple yarn around your wrist. Very effective for my patients who have fast food cravings.

Thanks for your comment, Nell.
Yes, Candida definitely is a huge factor when it comes to cravings, and it is a vicious circle. The more you crave, the more your Candida becomes a problem, because you give in and feed the Candida.
It is hard to stick to a Candida diet, and you are to be commended for your determination, and how well you have done with it, Nell.

I do crave junk. I know mine is due to the Candida overgrowth. My husband eats junk and claims he isn't addicted, but I know he is. I also feel that he has an overgrowth, but he won't listen to me. Even if he thought so, he's said he wouldn't do the diet. He's seen how darned hard it is for me to stay on and I have a lot more will power than he.
